A Measure of Compassion that is Adaptable to Different Care Settings, Patient Populations, and Lengths of Stay?

The Sinclair Compassion Questionnaire (SCQ) has been adapted for a variety of care settings, clinical situations, and patient types. They are all available in French and English, with other translations under way. There are also versions for healthcare educators and trainees, specific disciplines, and with the SCQ-i you can even unlock the ability to identify individual patients preferences for how they would like compassion delivered--allowing healthcare providers to personalize care as a result.

The SCQ is adaptable to a variety of care settings, patient populations, and lengths of stay. All versions of the SCQ are available in both English and French, in accordance with the World Health Organization guidelines. The SCQ is currently in the process of being validated and translated into Spanish, Turkish and Italian. With the SCQ-i you can even unlock the ability to identify individual patients preferences for how they would like compassion delivered--allowing healthcare providers to personalize care as a result.

Whether you are a healthcare system analyst wanting to embed the SCQ-short form into your existing patient questionnaires; a general physician or therapist in private practice wanting to tailor compassion to how each individual patient uniquely and optimally experiences compassion; or a researcher wanting to compare experiences of compassion in an outpatient cancer clinic with surgical patients in a short-stay hospital unit--there is an SCQ for you.

Interested in validating and translating the SCQ into your language and context? Partner with the Compassion Research Lab in making the gold standard compassion measure available around the world.

All of the SCQ's are evidence based, patient informed and are system and practice ready.
